The "Byzantine Bath - Encounters" will offer us a walking tour, accompanied by texts about places and bodies, old cinemas, cobblestone courtyards, and unbuttoned dresses, about reversed rivers and acropolises with hidden corners, about friendly calves, taxi drivers, and water carriers.
The occasion is a text written about this bathhouse by an author who was born and raised nearby. The Byzantine bath was the neighborhood hammam, for everyone, including Antonis Sourounis.
We will start our journey from another former bathhouse, the Geni Hamam, Aigli, and ascend towards the neighborhood of his childhood, Ano Poli, Muson Street, Taxiarches, to end up there, at the Byzantine bath, where we will meet Katina, or rather, more than one...
