Vladimir Necakov
“4x4”
[2014]
"During the course of my studies, I was the only foreign student in my class. Faced with difficulties in terms of language, I was constantly questioning myself about how much I can understand from what I have heard or read... The very issue of my ability to express myself as a person, my ability to inscribe myself and find a place in a totally new institutional space led me towards a radical and generalized reexamining of the concept of “architecture” This is exactly what the video project “4x4” is about: examining the writing in space within the geometry of the cube, its decomposition as it abstracts, distracts or subtracts itself..."
Vladimir Necakov was born in Belgrade. He is a graduate of Polytechnic School and has a Masters’ degree in Architecture. The first work "Elements of Art in Architecture" was presented in Belgrade in collaboration with the British Council. He has participated in group exhibitions in Montenero, Serbia, Slovenia and Greece.
