Arjang Omrani (Iran) was born in Tehran. He has a Master's degree in Visual & Media Anthropology ofFreie University in Berlin.

A PhD candidate at the Academy of Media Art / Cologne and visiting professor at Aarhus, he is also lecturer at Audio - Visual Anthropology Department of Muenster University (Germany).

Part of his major artistic work are the films: “On-the-Run” /2013, awarded by Academy der Kunst der Welt in collaboration with Sommerblutfestival & Diwan Foundation and "Parallx", an experimental anthropological film presented at the Nordic Anthropological Film festival, as well as in various universities, as exemplary combination of Art and Anthropology.
